We started SkyFlights because booking a flight had turned into a small ordeal. You’d open one airline site, then another, then a third tab just to check if a connecting flight was actually cheaper than the direct one. By the time you’d compared everything, half the fares had already changed. It felt backwards the internet was supposed to make this easier, not turn it into a scavenger hunt.
So we built the thing we wished existed: one place to search, compare, and actually understand your flight options before you commit to anything.
What We’re Actually Trying to Do
SkyFlights pulls fares from a wide range of airlines and puts them side by side, in plain terms. No digging through fine print to find the real price. No re-running the same search on five different sites hoping one of them shows something cheaper. Just one search that does the legwork for you.
We’re not trying to be the flashiest travel site out there. We’d rather be the one you trust to show you what’s actually available, at a price that doesn’t sneak up on you at checkout.
Why Flights, Specifically
There are travel sites that try to do everything flights, hotels, car rentals, tour packages all bundled into one experience. We went the other way. Flights are complicated enough on their own: connections, cabin classes, baggage rules, fare rules that change by route. We’d rather get really good at one thing than mediocre at five.
That focus shapes almost every decision we make, from how search results are sorted to how fare alerts are built.
How We Think About Pricing
If a fare shows up in your search results, that’s the price taxes, surcharges, all of it, laid out before you get anywhere near checkout. We’ve all had the experience of picking a flight because it looked cheap, only to watch the total creep up page by page. We built SkyFlights specifically to avoid doing that to anyone.
Where We’re Headed
We’re still adding airline partners, refining our fare-alert system, and listening to what travelers tell us is missing. This isn’t a finished product sitting still it’s one we’re actively building based on how people actually search for and book flights, not how we assume they do.
